[LUG] [OT] What are you using to catalog sounds?

[LUG] [OT] What are you using to catalog sounds?

2008-11-28 by Chaz

I'm finding that I need a solution for my sounds. When I'm working on a project, I need a "bassy piano" sound or a "wind fx" sound, and I can't always remember which synth and which patch I like.

Right now I'm writing stuff done, but thats getting a little old.

Basically I need a database where I can assign Absynth Patch#34 "Alienpiano" with the keywords "piano, bass, weird", so that when all my sounds are in there, all I have to do is type in a keyword, and whichever patches have that keyword, will show up in a results list.

I know I can do this with Bento 2, but I have to create it from scratch, which would be difficult.

What is everybody else using?

Thanks

Chaz

Perhaps something like this (although it's not available yet
apparently):

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
