I buy the spindles of 50 or 100 and just put the burned ones on the bottom
until it's full. Then close it up and move to the back of the shelf away
from light and heat. So far so good.

What makes that a safer storage method than anything else that keeps 
them out of the light?

What do you do about cataloging and getting the one you want out if the middle?
