I went with gcc-3.4.3, newlib-1.13 and Insight-6.0.  Since I spend so 
little on the compiler / debug setup, I splurged and spent $2700USD for 
an Abatron BDI2000.  It has been well worth the investment.  I connect 
to it via ethernet, and use it to program the Flash (via tftp).
