Not sure if you guys are aware of this document, but this document: http://www.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/MC9328MX1RM.pdf contains information on the MMC/SD protocol, commands and responses, password unlock, and even some details on SDIO. Far from complete, but a pretty good source of information.
