Reset of cancontroller

Has anybody experience with resetting the cancontroller?
When the errorinterupt (buserror) occurs, i try to reset the controller.
I am using the hints of the Phillips erratasheet ( sending a message 
with Id 0). But it doesnt work, because the errorinterrupt appears 
immediately after that, and i cannot stop it.
Any hints or code snippets?
