I guess so...  Everything that a competitor would find useful in 
upgrading their product will be covered by an NDA.  I would find it 
more suspicious if it were fully disclosed.  That would mean that 
protecting the ideas is meaningless hence the ideas themselves have 
no competitive value.

Protecting information is not the same as concealing a defect.
