Hello group! We have received an overwhelming response for our new board (http://armoid.com), so as I have told you before --and since the external bus version LPC22XXs are "more official"-- we are now considering to expand our product offering with an LPC2000-based version of the ARMermelator. Current availability of the LPC2XXXs seems to be a pain (as with most Philips chips ;^) but we hope that to improve in the mid-term so we would like to start the design cycle early. The idea is to maintain the same card format and connector pinout as our current AT91-based board. That will allow us to share the same modules, backplane and USB programmer/debugger system (which are on their way and will be available from the web site pretty soon). So, please, we would like you to "help us help you" and tell us what would you like to see in a LPC2000-based ARMermelator board and kit. - Do your designs use the CAN bus? - Do you find a any need for an FPGA? (However, customized volume orders without the FPGA soldered will also be available). - Do you think you will need external Flash memory (eg for data logging)? How much megabytes? - Same for external SRAM memory. - Modules in development are analog and digital I/O (4-20mA, protected ADCs), RF transceiver, 100Mbps Ethernet + serial-USB, LCD display and CompactFlash memory module. Can you think of any other application you would like us to design a module for? Again, thank you very much for your suggestions.
