Yet about the LPC Bootloader

Can anybody tell me what the bootloader does with the RxD1 pin ?
When my software enters the ISP, it is fine, but when I start uploading 
the software, the RxD1 pin of the CPU goes from input (or rxd uart to be 
more precise) to output level 0. Why ????
