You're absolutely right, Don. I certainly didn't mean to imply that only 
amateurs use LPC chips because I know this isn't true. My point was that 
the level of effort required to get round the protection seems very 
significant, assuming it can be defeated at all. I definitely don't mean 
to cheapen any of the work done by anyone on this list. I guess I'm just 
rather frustrated with the direction this thread has taken. I therefore 
will indeed butt out!

Again, apologies for a poor choice of words -- I hope this debate gets 
resolved one way or another.
