Oh is that what it is.

Well I think we are all grown up enough to
recognize a coherent technical argument when we
see one (i.e. sometimes referred to as "signal").

Well that is certainly one way to do things. My
input will be on the list.

In the meantime, I was able to synchronize with my
LPC2214 again. I'm not sure whether the problem
was with my setup, with the part or sitting on the
chair.

I had programmed Flash block 1 with some random
data and after that the bootloader wouldn't
synchronize again. I tried resetting it and using
P0.14 and it repeatedly wouldn't synchronize. Then
I just hit the reset switch a dozen times and it
suddenly woke up again. 

It's a custom board with custom isp software so
I'm not too worried about the part yet. Unless
others have had the same experience and can
provide repeatable sequences to reproduce the
problem.
