I can think of AT29x1024 and AM29x800 variants off the cuff.  I am quite 
sure people at KEIL can tell you more about what variants there are and how 
they are programmed.

I am not aware there is any formal standard.  My experience has been with 
various AMD and Intel flash memories, and I do not recall a single flash 
memory that did not include feed sequences type of protection in one way or 
another.

The fact that LPC does not have MMU and that it supports both 16 and 32 bit 
instruction sets are two very good reasons IMO to have protective sequences 
for flash programming.
