Lpc2000

I'm developing a new hardware that will need CAN connectivity.  But I 
know  nothing about CAN. I'm thinking abou using the LPC2129, but a lot 
of people talks about it's erratas. How critical are they ? Is there 
something that I'll not be able to do ? My other options is to use a 
Microchip CAN controller. Any help will be welcome.
