Hm, I opened EFSL in PKARM (not gcc) and got linker error for line
*((unsigned long*)(buf+67)) = 0x13371337; in mkfs.c
The error is
*** ERROR L138: CODE GENERATION: PROBLEM WHEN PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUSE: Numeric value is out of range
SEGMENT: ?PR?mkfs_makevfat?T?mkfs
