One just has to look at the humungus that Philips Flash Utility tool that one has to install and maintain on the host. Flash block sizes are all over the place, etc. Have a look at my boot sector diagnostics tool -- it gives you all the information one needs to know about the device, including the crystal frequency without having to "install" anything. Unlike Philips, OKI designers appear to appreciate KISS rule book. If anyone things they are in the same league, then I suspec they are either kidding themselves or just plain naive. Jaya
