I've never seen this usage before in relation to a communications 
interface. Conventional usage of the term master/slave in the context 
of a serial port is where communications between systems is not 
symmetric.

I've also used both parts and have come to a different conclusion. The 
difference between us is that I don't feel the need to innsult others 
with a different opinion. I've asked you before to refrain from this 
kind of language: it only detracts from the points you make.
