Like any micros, they have their quirks (and downright bugs), more so in some of the earlier parts. They're about average in this respect for devices of similar complexity and level of maturity. In terms of support, Philips are pretty good at acknowledging issues and documenting them. Their only real weakness I've seen is the length of time it gets to update the documentation and the somewhat eccentric layout of their Web site. Again, to emphasise, this is from my own experience: I don't claim any special knowledge or insight. No doubt you'll see alternative views posted here from some who think the parts are so bug ridden as to be unusable. All I'd say to this is to look at the evidence (or lack of it) being put forward to support these claims and make your own mind up. Brendan.
