I've seen an LM317 used for 1.8V. I use the LMS8117AMP-1.8 on my board (RS
has them in stock) . It's overkill (1A) but 1.8 V regulators are like gold
dust at present. I'll redesign my board for the adjustable version if I get
some more made.
