Partly as a matter of curiosity, why not use the standard serial
download? Are you adding restrictions? (I presume you are using the
serial port simply since you are concerned about preserving the interrupt).
Hmmm, It just occurred to me. Check the docs, there is a very good chance
interrupts must be disabled during flash programming. Preserving
interrupts might not be worth the trouble.
