> Yes, it's 51 Ohms. That notation is common in Europe. Is this the: integer-part (unit character) fractional-part notation like calling 9600 baud 9k6? I like that notation. Given that it implies the common engineering notation of only using scientific notation where the exponent is a multiple of three, it works well with other 'accepted practices'. :) I think my first proto will use an LM317 that I found in my parts box, but later ones will probably use a Silicon Standards SS6734 series part. These guys make a bunch of 300mA LDO regulators that also come in TO-92 cases. Yeah. Speaking of that, whoever makes the next batch of proto boards might think to use a dual output switching design that takes in 5-12V or so an produces the 3.3V and 1.8V outputs. I'd be glad to help with the design. Oh, further off topic (but still on topic...) does anyone have any proto boards made up or will they in the near furture? I could use a few. Contact me off list, please and we'll try to work something out. It would be nice if we could offer something like Leon's board to people. Oh, and the callsign here is N0YMV. :) Cheers, David
