Sigh,
Tried it twice without success. I finally got the CDT plugin installed and visible through
the update feature of Eclipse. However when i try to create a new file or class
my computer just hangs and needs to be re-booted.
I am writing this off as a result of my messy Win98 installation which is really hanging
on a thread. If anyone got any ideas i will gladly try them, but for now i will go back to my
trusty old environment.

Hi Pontus.
When you download the CDT zip file and then unzip it, you should get
an eclipse top folder and two sub-folders, features and plugins.
Make sure Eclipse is not running and then copy the single folder
that's in the features directory into the c:\eclipse\features
directory.
Likewise, copy the 14 folders in the plugins directory to the
c:\eclipse\plugins directory.
Now restart Eclipse and you should see the C++ options added to all
the menus.
Give that a try again and get back to us.
Cheers,
Jim Lynch
