Secondary JTAG port

has anyone used the secondary JTAG port so far? I need as many as 
possible IO lines for my application and consider to use the 
secondary JTAG port for debugging.

As I understand some software inside the FLASH has to enable the 
secondary JTAG. Any "app note" for doing this?
