I will second that Philips LPC parts are one year ahead the 
competition, now many others are trying to follow them, but although 
a lot of noise is risen on advertizing no one of the other big names 
as Atmel, ST, Analog, TI is able to feed competing parts in supply 
chain before mid 2005. Beside Philips only OKI have their mature 
ML67Qxxxx series which is available for purchase now. All others are 
on sampling and pre-production runs stage.
