Personally I would not do it. This is just my approach to have reset
active until power is present.

Don't know the characteristics of a lithium battery in regards to
stability of voltage but the brownout should help you if the voltage
goes below 3V. There will be no undefined operation before the
brownout hits even if voltage goes below 3V but is still above
brownout threshold.
