There is an adapter. See
http://www.aeolusdevelopment.com/Articles/InSystemProgramming.html
It contains the necessary level convertors and (program controlled)
pull-downs and connects to a standard ISP header. It works with all three
of the publicly available serial ISP programs I know of and uses the
automatic reset/ISP mode pins. There's also an isolated version.

The standard ISP header takes up rather less room than the D-sub + level
converters. So it will save you room and cost if you are doing more than a
couple of boards.
Having said that for the Philips evaluation board a Dsub to Dsub cable may
make more sense. Especially if they have an easy way to switch to/from
programming mode. It would also be fairly simple to wire the ISP header
into the prototyping area.
