For posterity: the solution to this is to link with arm-elf-gcc, and not
directly with arm-elf-ld.

The linker is bitching about these, which I'm sure are ARM<->Thumb
interworking stubs, probably stripped out because of nostartupfiles, or
nostdlib..

I'd like to either (1) get gcc to do these for me, or (2) lift them from
somewhere and drop them in a .s file.  Any guidance would be greatly
appreciated!
