Re: what is the difference between 2114 and 2132?

2005-03-28 by lpc2100_fan

Hi,

lots of differences; which device though, 2132 or 2138?
2132 versus 2114, additional features on 2132
ADC has 8 inputs versus 4 on 2114, 3V only supply versus dual supply,
2114 has 128k flash, 2132 only 64, Real-time clock can be used with
external 32 kHz and in power down mode. 2132 has external counter
inputs into the timers, afaik, the 2132 does not have a DAC but the
larger ones have (2138, also a second ADC), 213x all have a brownout
detect and a power on reset.

They are not pin compatible though very similar in pinout and register
addresses that exist on both have the same address, so switching from
one to the other is really easy.

There is one downside to the LPC213x though, the typical power down
current seems to be higher than with the LPC2114, this is only of
concern if you want to buffer with a battery during non-operation.

No idea if I captured all the differences but for a start this should do.
