My question is for Philips group. Some time ago on this forum was information, that Philips plans to start this year production of USB and then new CAM (LPC2139?) microcontrollers. Now I am finishing a design of a new module with the LPC2129 and want to make the PCB, if possible, to be compatible with the future CAM microcontroller. I examined the LPC2138 documentation, and noticed, that only pin 17 has another functionality. Pins 49 and 63 are still power, only 3.3V instead of 1.8V. Now my question. I put a 0 Ohm resistor between the pin 17 and pins 49, 63. In case of the LPC2129 I will mount it and connect all them to 1.8V source and for future microcontroller the resistor should not be mounted and 49,63 pins I will connect to 3.3V source. Is my guess right? I am sure, that the answer will be of common interest. Great thanks in advance, Varuzhan [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
