Re: beginning with Embest IDE demo version..?

2005-04-03 by embeddedjanitor

A lot of people like Eclipse which has no restrictions.

Personally I have not bothered looking at Embest. I know some people
like a single IDE but I typically don't.

I use gcc, various editors (including source navigator if I want a
browser), and various gdb-based editors.Sometimes I will use just a
command-line gdb and sometimes insight or ddd. I find I will use a
different debugger for different problems. That is probably the main
reason I don't like single bundled IDEs.

The tools you use are very much a personal choice. There is very
seldom something that is truely "best".
