Re: [lpc2000] USB for LPC2xxx

Yes,
It is true except the new version comming out in near future does not have external memory interface ... The version equivalent to LPC229X with USB built in will probably come out at the end of 2005. This is the info I have from Philips..
Arm7 based STR71X series available with built in usb at this time in TQFP / LQFP package which is equivalent to LPC229X + built in USB... there may be a give and take for some IO but it has USART, SD card interface, PWM etc. Check STR710 on www.st.com web..

  Subject: [lpc2000] USB for LPC2xxx

  Hello;
  I am seeing some rumors(?) that there may be an LPC2xxx variant that
  supports USB. Is this real? or vapour-ware? If real? when will this
  variant be available in production quantities?

  I am interested in an LPC2xxx device that supports USB-2. I am
  considering an arm embedded project that needs USB, and it would be
  very nice to have an integrated USB controller instead of having to
  glue one onto a board.

  I am primarily interested in systems that can support lots of ram...at
  least 32k internal, but preferrably, a system with an external
  expansion bus so I can glue extra SRAM on my system.

  Thanks;
  Ken Wada
