Lpc2000

I have an LPC-MT-2106 development board with a Hitachi HD44780U LCD 
display (http://www.olimex.com/dev/lpc-mt.html).  I've followed the 
instructions in the LCD manual 
(http://web.media.mit.edu/~ayah/documents/hd44780u.pdf), but I still 
can't seem to get my LCD to initialize.  Any suggestions?
