Hi, may be (just may be) you have been using the LPC900 family of Philips as well. On that family the DAC is part of the ADC and can not be used at the same time because it shares the same internal circuit. The LPC213x has one 10-bit DAC that is independent of the ADC and I do not remember reading anything here on the Forum that would indicate problems with parallel use.
