Exactly what I found out short after my post! Switched to a known good
(and really expensive) UART card and now it seems to work fine :)
Crappy old 16550 UARTs...

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
