Hi Philips_Apps/Robert, yes this is very off topic, but I don't see any chance to get some infos. We build a prototype board with the USB2 chip isp1581. All works well, without any problems. Now we build a small series of boards and got the problem that the ISP powers up with > 100mA (osc running) while the proto board starts with suspend mode < 1mA. Obviously there is no difference in the connections of the ISP. Because it is a portable device with very low current consumption it should only consume this high power when connected to the PC. Of course we can immediately put the chip into suspend mode but this power peak makes a heavy drop in our power supply. Question: What causes the ISP to stay in suspend mode after a reset/poweron or what is the reason that the chip now always starts with full power? We can't find any infos in the datasheet and appnotes. We will be very pleased to get more info or a contact to an application specialist of Philips. thank you Rolf
