What about different logic families, such as the HC or LS parts? The main purpose of the driver is to isolate the 3.3v JTAG pins from the (nominal) 5v parallel port levels with good wave shape. Since most software solutions allows different clock speeds, you have multiple options (AC is faster (I believe) than HC which has slighly different logic levels than LS). > > 2) What driver(s) need to be installed to let the software talk > directly to the parallel port on Windows XP? > > 3) Does anyone have a detailed, step-by-step HOWTO on setting up a > gcc-gbd-wiggler development environment under Windows? > > ... From post 8298 (I had to look up in the index to get the post number) by "g pf", digging deeper into his link you will find: http://www.siwawi.arubi.uni-kl.de/avr_projects/arm_projects/wiggler_intro/index.html which give you one option for items 2) and 3). Also, a past post with a link on using the Eclipse IDE to compile and program the ARM also gave very good info with hints on making it work. Enjoy, - Gary Greene
