Hi,
I'm having a problem, I believe, with my EMC interface on an LPC2214
connected to 2 128K x 16 SRAM chips (GS72116A - GSI Technology). I think
I've got it configured correctly, however, I'm not sure. Basically, I'm
capturing an image from a sensor and storing the data in external SRAM.
I'm getting 'noise' in my image in the form of a band of dark pixels.
Here's how I have the interface configured:
BCFG1=0x20000400; //SRAM 32 bit
//IDCY = 0
//WST1 = 0
//WST2 = 0
//RBLE = 1
PINSEL2=0x0C000924; //enable Debug
//enable D0:31, CS0, OE, BLS0:3
//enable WE
//enable CS1
//enable A19:2 address lines
If I configure BCFG1 as a 16bit or 8bit interface, the image gets distorted,
of course, but the 'noise' goes away and the image is very clear. If I increase
the values for WST1 and WST2, I can reduce the noise, but it doesn't go away.
Is there something else that I need to do when configuring the external SRAM?
Is there a test that I can run to help isolate where the issue is further?
Any and all suggests are greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Bryan
