Lpc2000

Hi,

I'd like to interface a LPC2294 with a 8 bits peripheral.

If i want to read or write a register of 16 bits in this 8 bits 
peripheral how can i manage chip select :

Can chip select stay active low during two bytes reading or must i 
active low Cs for the first byte and inactive cs after first byte, 
active low cs for second byte and inactive CS ?
