Hello,

Does anyone know how to restore the boot sector on a LPC2104 with bad boot
sector? I have two boards which will respond with "Synchronized" when I
hit "?" at whatever baud rate, but will not accept "Synchronized" response
or go any further. It is as good as dead otheriwise.

This problem was created by bug in boot sector code (or user code, I am not
sure), and I was able to repeat this on two boards. It is thus clear that
the device is locked up because of a bad code in boot sector. I want to be
able to restore the boot loader with the original contents before I find
out how this happened.

Cheers,

Jaya

Hi,

The only way to restore the bootsector would be to load the bootrom
update program into ram with a jtag probe and run it. I never updated or
restored a bootrom before, so I cannot give you any more info than this.

Richard Duits.
