Determining the device silicon revision

Determining the device silicon revision

2006-02-01 by grapevinetech

How can the silicon revision of an LPC2K device be determined? I
couldn't find a revision register for the LPC2294 - have I just missed
it? At the moment this isn't an issue for those parts as I believe
only Rev.A is shipping, but it will be in the future.

Thanks for any insights

Andy..

Hello Andy,

The errata sheets explain how to determine the die Rev from the
markings on the package. The last letter on the last line shows you
the Rev.

Thanks for replying, but what I was really looking for was a method
that I could use in software. As the various Errata issues get fixed,
then some of the workarounds will no longer be needed, but this is
obviously dependent on the parts fitted on any given board.

Ideally, there is a register somewhere that provides this information,
otherwise, do different revisions have different part ids?

Thanks,

Andy..
