Hey I'm 47 and I got off on the wrong chip too!!!

Your funny Richard, 
To think we're only one year appart and, I got off on the wrong chip 
too, could only mean were on the same path. 
Embedded to be, or not to be embedded. 
Sometimes FPGA simply works better!! OR ASIC for that matter.

I think the 48 and old are out of context.  I turned 60 last December.
 I have been fortunate enough to be able to retire early and enjoy my
remaining time messing about with the only thing that has ever held my
attention: hardware.  All kinds of hardware.  And just enough software
to make it play.
