Debugger, Jtag, recommendations please:

2004-04-11 by Lee Studley

Hello,
Leon and others have been very helpful in this group!!!

At work I have a EPI Majic jtag currently setup for Xscale
development, and was wondering if I can use the Majic for LPC210x
parts too. Our current work dev environ is a plug in to MS Visual
C/C++ IDE and does most every thing for you, but is way overpriced
and license locked.

I have a wiggler:
Could people in the group recommend setups that are in use and
working for lowcost development at home without sacrificing good
stepping through C code debug features? I'd like to keep the entire
solution under $500, is this reasonable?

Thanks,
-Lee

The Wiggler works very well with the excellent Rowley debugger supplied with
their ARM tools. Cost of the package is about $800, though.
