IAR Flash Programming

IAR Flash Programming

2005-02-17 by lp2000c

After IAR released EWARM version 4.20A, one of my colleagues
discovered a bug in their flash programming for the LPC chips. It
will not let you program the last sector of flash (the one before the
bootloader).

IAR has posted a fix (as well as flash programming support for
LPC2138) in the Technical Support section of their website. (Select
IAR Embedded Workbench Support, search for reference number 50187.)

Thanks H.S.

Thanks for the info. Does the flash programmer on EWARM 4.20A have
the ability to erase flash? I'm not sure that the programmer on the
version I'm currently using (EWARM 4.10B) can do this.

Thanks,
Leighton

I'm not sure. I never had reason to use IAR to erase without
programming. I don't see any obvious way to do this, but a call to
IAR should be able to prvide an answer.

BTW: Philips utility can do this.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
