hobby servo sample source?

I have a Keil MCB2100 that I would like to use in a mobile robot I am beginning work on. I think I am going to use the freertos.org task scheduler and I am wondering if anyone here has experience controlling hobby (R/C) servos with the LPC2129. I am thinking that I will need to set up a time based interrupt at a frequency quick enough to get the control resolution I need on the 1 to 2ms pulse width. Any tips for me or sample code? either with freertos support or without? I am just getting into this. I am using Keil tools for the time being.
