external flash memory problem

I can access the external RAM of the LPC-E2294 but unfortunately the external Flash causes some problems. I configured the BCFG0 and tried to access the Flash with the routines from the olimex test software. When I try to read the FlashID the id is 0 (but it should be 0x0089). I would be greatful if someone could tell what the problem is! Cheers, Matthias
