help me using jtag for mips

i want to use jtag for mips (IDT 79RC32334)(jtag without ejtag) i just want to use jtag for the programming the mips and for boundary scanning, and not as a in circuit emmulator can i use simple jtag hardwares for it? HOW TO USE IT FOR PROGRAMMING? BEST REGARDS
