Postfix, spf self - suggestion

Postfix, spf self - suggestion

2011-07-14 by compconsultant

Apparently, still not working for postfix in the latest devel version. So, I found the old messages related to why that is, makes sense.

So.... I do use postfix, and I would love to use this rule as anyone who essentially uses ALL in their SPF is suspect to me and I would love to greylist them.

So, a suggestion was made long ago to hardcode something like 127.0.0.1. Is that not something that could be done to the code perhaps so us postfix users could then use this rule? If for some reason this is not a good option, how 'bout a randomly generated ip address that is valid being used instead, so, spf random?

I'd just love to be able to use the rule.

Sure, such a contribute would be welcome.

It seems I missed that message.
spf random seems a good idea, but it could have fake positive if you are
unlucky. What about adding an option to specify the address?

I'd love to see it, I'd really like to greylist anyone who has a spf all.

Then do it, it will not be very difficult. You have to add an item in
the configuration structure, a keyword in conf_lex.l and a rule to parse
it in conf_yacc.y

I would, if I could. Never programmed in C. I have used probably 50 languages in my career, none of them being C, even snobol. Don't know yacc, lex, C, anything.
