I have to admit that I'm glad to see someone use the lower half of the 110 as a VCA. In response to Paul's recent question about a distortion module, a lot of posts said things like, "I'm not going to buy a 110 because I'm waiting for the *dual* VCA," which had me stumped. The 110 *is* a dual VCA, with a ring modulator thrown in! If accuracy is a concern, well, the secondary VCA in my 100 certainly seems no less 'accurate,' noisy, or whatever... than any other VCA in my studio, or that I've ever used, that's for sure. I, too, am looking forward to some of the 1u modules that are planned, simply to balance out the odd spaces created by the EG and the PS. But if folks are pacing around waiting for a dual VCA... it's one of the first MOTM modules, and Paul still has them in stock. -----Original Message----- From: Microtonal [mailto:microtonal@...] Sent: Thursday, 08 March, 2001 8:50 AM To: motm@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [motm] Interesting patch using VC Lag as Timbre Modulator The switch settings are correct. I used the RM as a VCA since I assume most people will use the VCA section of their MOTM-110 as the final VCA in the signal chain.
