all, got my 101 assembled yesterday and gave it a test drive last night. As usual, it worked with no problems on the first power-up. Traditional MOTM no sweat. The noises sound really good and really add some "dirt" into my system.. The slow and vibrato signals are great for adding some rawness and take away some of the sterility assosciated with synths and MOTM in general. So anyone who says "MOTM sounded too sterile" or something like that oviously hasn't gone deep enough into the modules to solve that. The 101 sure does solve this... I haven't really gone patch crazy yet but where I was going was definitely getting weird. With only a few modules, I had a three voice sound/pattern evolving nicely. 101 sampling my 320's saw out, 320 triggering an 800, modulating my 300's pulse width. 320's tri out to my 120's B input set in cross mode. 101->300->440->110 giving me the traditional S/H robot sound, 300->120->440->110 giving me cool bass patterns, 101 pink noise out->410->440->110 slowly swishing a noise storm in the background. Input levels on the 440 adjusted to get a nice mix... So I had a full soundscape going, evolving along.. perhaps I can post an MP3.. the 101 is nice because it really integrates CV's and audio signals. A module with tons of possibilities.. I'm not a writer.. the module works great, went together easily without a hitch, and is now sitting in one of my drawers because I have no more room in my rack for it : ) yay!! I can't compare it to the earlier 100 because I don't have one. Im sure it's not too much different. Slew is nice and the vibrato source switch sure beats having to set a jumpre on the PCB. If I had to have a gripe, it would be that I would like to see the clock rate able to go higher with the panel control without resorting to a CV. Maybe VC speed? get one or two! I'm off to go patch up some explosions.. ~Steve M (when using your 800 to get a + or -5v signal, use the decay control as one lister mentioned a few days ago to get a hands free sweep. Indeed, a great "secret third hand"!)
