If I remember correctly there were a few people on this list that were interested in getting a copy of Allen Strange's book, Electronic Music: Systems, Techniques, and Controls. Well, I finally got a copy of the book through McGraw-Hill. "Copy" of the book is a good way to word it. The book comes with a generic cover and while it isn't exactly a Xerox copy, it isn't a normal printed book either. It is obviously copied from a printed edition of the book. Some of the photos did not reproduce well, particularly photos of Moog modules because they are all black. Some of the diagrams have small text that is difficult to read. The main text has also lost its crispness and the print is a little fatiguing on the eyes. But the book is legible. All complaints aside I am pleased to finally own a copy of this book. I find it very informational and useful. Whereas I've been programming synths for years (mainly OB Matrix-6) I am still relatively new to modular synthesis and CVs. This book explains things well (though it is a bit dry and academic). I got the book by calling 1-800-338-3987, which if I remember correctly is McGraw-Hill (not Primis). The book costs $37.56 plus tax and shipping. For me the total was $44.35. A bit steep, but it was better than having to go to Kinkos and trying to copy the whole thing myself. Mr. Nezumi
