I smeared a thin layer of epoxy across the back of the panel around 
the holes. Not enough to get inside the holes, just enough to cover 
the rim of the holes. I used LEDs that have a wider lip on them than 
the ones supplied in the miniwave kit so there would be more surface 
area to contact the panel/epoxy. I glued the LEDs down before 
soldering the wires to them; the wires I used were a little on the 
stiff side and I wanted the LEDs to stay in place while the glue 
dried.
