Everything is plugged into the same power strip and that power strip is new and works just fine for my other gear.

It could be a ground loop issue. Is everything plugged into the same wall
outlet (or outlet strip)? If not, it could be that a wall outlet is wired
improperly. Are all plugs three-prong or polarized types? If not, possibly
one (or more) of the two-prong non-polarized plugs need to be reversed, or
maybe you have a defective outlet strip.
